So Wassup Guys!!!
Initially i was disappointed to know that WTC Final is just one match.I was thinking it to be a series between the finalists and series winner would be crowned with the title. It would have been much better as both the sides will have about 3 or 4 matches to prove their calibre and lift the trophy. Not a fan of this single match final but it is what it is and winning is what is crucial in a match or in a series.I think ICC plans the season 2 of WTC better compared to the first one and comes up with more refined rules which gives every team equal opportunity to go further in the board and reach top positions.
This competitiveness lacked in this WTC due to various reasons like away series being short and some not been played due to the pandemic. And even the percentage of points obtained off total points was also not a great move which suddenly shuffled the entire table but we understand that was inevitable given the situation.I think the best teams fought their way through to come to the finals nonetheless. But as classic cricket fan who knows that test cricket is ultimate and no other format cannot top it.
So for now rain has already started playing the spoil sport in the most anticipated encounter.Though ICC decided to have a reserve day the Southampton weather updates are in no way hinting for a proper uninterrupted match. All the 6 days have threat for rain which is so unfortunate for a big match like this. For now a big draw is on cards. Hopefully they get to play few proper sessions throughout the test match we might have a winner ultimately.Which by the looks of it is just a miracle. So we all know what happened last time when India and New zealand faced off in England. We got the result on Day 2 of first ever two day One Day International. Weird things do happen in sport.Hopefully there will a result here until we go to Day 6 of this match.
